Perfect Porridge








    Ingredients                                          Method



      0.71 litters whole milk (1 ½ pints)                 Place the milk in a large non-stick saucepan.
      226 g porridge oats                                 Bring to the boil and then whisk in the oats,
      1 tablespoon golden syrup                           syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, raisins and salt.
                                                          Reduce to a slow simmer and then cook,
      1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon                        stirring from time to time, for 8 to 10 minutes,
      1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg                          until cooked. Whisk in the cream and heat
      1 pinch salt                                        gently. Spoon into warm bowls and sprinkle
      162 ml cream                                        with brown sugar.
