Yorkshire Pudding &
Onion Gravy
Ingredients Method
Yorkshire Pudding Yorkshire Pudding
To make the batter, sift the flour into a
85g Plain flour bowl, add the eggs milk water pepper
2 eggs and salt mix together.
3fl.oz milk (75ml)
2fl.oz water (50ml) Set oven to 200c
Salt & pepper Put the oil in the roasting tin and put in
Corn oil for the roasting- tin. the oven for 5 minutes remove from
oven add the Yorkshire pudding mix
Onion Gravy return to the oven cook until the
pudding rise and turn golden.
2 medium onions, peeled and Onion Gravy
thinly sliced Melt the oil and butter in a large
2 tbsp olive oil saucepan over a gentle heat. Add the
2 tbsp butter onion and cover with a lid. Cook slowly
1 tsp sugar for approx 10 minutes or until the
1 tsp balsamic vinegar onions are soft and translucent.
Vegetable stock. Add the sugar and balsamic vinegar to
4 tsp corn starch/corn flour or the onions and stir well. Cover with the
flour lid and continue to cook for a further 5
4 tsp cold water minutes. Add the stock and boil gently
uncovered for 5 minutes.
Mix the cornflour with the cold water to
a thin paste. Pour a little of the hot
gravy to thicken it Keep warm until
ready to serve.
