Oat and Flaxseed
Bread
Ingredients Method
350ml water Prep: 25min › Cook:30min › Ready

2 1/2 teaspoons dried active Add water, yeast, oil and honey to the
baking yeast
pan of the bread machine; stir to
dissolve yeast. Let stand until creamy,
2 tablespoons rapeseed oil about 10 minutes.
In a large bowl, stir together Ready brek,
3 tablespoons honey wholemeal flour, bread flour, flaxseed
meal and salt. Pour this mixture into the
150g Ready brek pan of the bread machine. Select
Wholewheat cycle; press Start.
175g wholemeal flour After the dough has risen, remove it
from the bread machine and turn it out
175g bread flour onto a lightly floured surface. Form into
a loaf shape and place in a lightly
75g flaxseed meal greased 23x12cm (9x5 in) loaf tin. Let
rise until doubled, about 45 minutes.
Meanwhile, preheat oven to 180 C / Gas
1/2 teaspoon salt
mark 4.
Bake for about 30 minutes or until the
top is golden brown and the bottom of
the loaf sounds hollow when tapped.
