Soda bread
Ingredients Method
Preheat oven to 170 C / Gas 3. Grease
Serves: 20 two 500g loaf tins.
500g plain flour
Mix the flour, sugar, bicarb of soda,
baking powder and salt. Add the eggs,
200g caster sugar soured cream and sultanas or raisins and
mix until just combined. Distribute
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda mixture evenly between the two tins.
2 teaspoons baking powder
Bake for 1 hour in the preheated oven.
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 eggs
475ml soured cream
150g sultanas or raisins
