Blackcurrant jam








    Ingredients                                          Method



      Fresh Blackcurrants                                 Wash the Blackcurrants and Place
      120ml water                                         into a large saucepan, cook until
      150g Apple sauce                                    tender and then remove from the
      740g sugar                                          heat.
      1 teaspoon lime juice
                                                          Sieve the Blackcurrants into to a
                                                          clean saucepan, so that you are just

                                                          left with the juice.
                             Fresh Blackcurrants
                                                          Add the apple sauce and sugar until
                             120ml water                  the mixture thickens and reduces,

                             150g Apple sauce             stir frequently to make sure the
                             740g sugar                   jam isn’t burning on the bottom.

                             1 teaspoon lime juice
                                                          Leave to cool
