Garlic and thyme


    scalloped potatoes



    Ingredients                                          Method



      10g butter, melted
      800g desiree potatoes, peeled
      2 garlic cloves, crushed                            Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan. Brush
      2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves                    a 6cm-deep, 19cm x 20cm (base) baking
      300ml pure cream                                    dish with butter. Thinly slice potatoes.
                                                          Place one-third of potato, slightly
                                                          overlapping, over base of prepared dish.
                                                          Sprinkle with one-third of the garlic and
                                                          thyme. Arrange half the remaining
                                                          potato over garlic and thyme. Sprinkle
                                                          with half the remaining garlic and
                                                          thyme. Repeat with remaining potato,
                                                          garlic and thyme. Drizzle with cream.
                                                          Season with salt and pepper. Cover
                                                          tightly with foil.

                                                          Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until just
                                                          tender. Remove foil. Bake for 30 to 35
                                                          minutes or until golden. Serve.
