Peppercorn Sauce







    Ingredients                                          Method





      1 onion finely chopped
                                                          Put the 2 teaspoons black peppercorns
                                                          into a mortar and pestle and Crush and
      1 small garlic clove chopped
                                                          then put to one side.
      2 teaspoons olive butter                            On a low heat put the oil, butter and
                                                          onion, garlic into a saucepan and
      1 tablespoon olive oil                              simmer for a few minutes until soft then
                                                          add the peppercorns, mix add the
      2 teaspoons black peppercorns Crushed               vegetable oxo cubes and water.

                                                          And mix together simmer for 5 minutes.
      A pinch of paprika
                                                          Add the paprika, soy sauce and cornflour
      ½ teaspoon of soy sauce                             mix to thicken the sauce. Put in the
                                                          parsley then mix and season to taste.
      1 ½ vegetable oxo cubes


      150ml water                                          Tips…


      Salt                                                This sauce goes well with Quorn's new
                                                          meat free beef Steak.
      Fresh chopped Parsley


      50ml water and 1 ½ teaspoons
      cornflour
